In-Game Rules

Post by Blaze on Sun Jun 30, 2013 7:41 am

PixelStory In-Game Rules

- Respect and harassment
Do not directly discriminate against any other members and/or Staff members based on race, religion, sexual orientation, age or whatsoever. For example: name-calling, trolling, flaming, any form of verbal offense.
Punishment: Staff's decision. (jail, temporary ban, IP ban)

- Abusing the vote system
Each person may vote once every 6 hours. If you gain more than 1 VP per 6 hours you are vote abusing. You are not allowed to use a different IP, proxy or any other program to receive extra Vote Points.
Punishment: IP ban.

- Hacking
The usage of any tools or third party software is not tolerated. Being in a party with a hacker, botting and dump is also considered hacking. Botting, for example: holding down your attack key while watching television is not allowed.
Punishment: IP ban.

Do not advertise another MapleStory Private Server or any hacking website.
Punishment: IP ban.

- Spamming
Continuously spamming text is prohibited. (To all chat, Megaphones, etc.)
Punishment: Staff's decision. (jail, temporary ban, IP ban)

- Glitch & bug abuse
When you discover a glitch, report it to a Staff member immediately. You can contact a Staff member in-game (@gm <message>), on the forums or XAT chat. There is no reason for you to test the glitch or tell other people about it. Map crashing is also considered abusing. You'll be banned from the game if caught abusing any glitch and/or bug.
Punishment: IP ban.

- Impersonating Staff members
Making up lies about being a Staff member is not allowed. Claiming you can punish another user is considered impersonation. Use the report functions if you see someone breaking the rules.
Note: you are, of course, allowed to help other players.
Punishment: Staff's decision. (jail, temporary ban, IP ban)

- Scamming
Self-explanatory, honestly. Just don't scam. Make sure to take screenshots/videos of your trade to prevent getting scammed.
Punishment: IP ban.

I don't think trolling could be considered a serious threat to the server nor an individual - trolling has many faces to it, so you should explain what you mean by that.

Actually, you are right. It could go into different meanings. But it also fits into the Respect & Harassment section.
