How to fix errors when trying to run client

Welcome to PixelStory guides.


As most of you know some have issues as of running our client.

Most of the main issues will be for users that have Windows 8, but some with other Operating Systems.


Fixing Windows 7 / All other Operating Systems
There are indeed a few errors for these users but the most common one would be a message saying theres a server check or your firewall is blocking something.




This of course is a easy fix.

To fix this you need to either.

1.) disable your Antivirus.
OR
2.) Disable your Firewall.

To disable your Antivirus I recommend using Google, considering all Antivirus are different.

1.) Right click on the Icon and open up "Avast Shield Controls".


2.) After that is complete, click one of the four options. It doesn't matter which I would recommend only for 10 minutes.

3.) Done.


Windows 8 Fixes.


Since I do not own Windows 8, I can't use pictures, but I can provide the Information for fixing these.



1.) Fix 2147467259 Error -
Goto your desktop, rightclick, display properties, advanced settings, update you drivers.

2.) Fix 2147024809 Error -
Download and install this - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...ils.aspx?id=21
If the error occurs again, run this again right before you open the game.

3.) Firewall / Hackshield Error -
Open norton or security application, navigate to firewall and program, change to allow, and exclude from virus check (The files are safe)


If you feel that I've missed any of the follow error fixes please tell me and I'll add them in.


If you don't get an error, then restart your computer.

Go to your PixelStory folder, and open it.
Right click on the Application MapleStory, and click properties.
Go to Compatibility Tab.
Click Run this program in compatibility mode for
Select Windows XP service pack 3
Then check the box Run in 256 colors
Check the box Run as an Admin
Click Apply, then okay.

Repeat for the Client as well and it should work.



These are they EXACT things you have to click in order to run PixelStory.

You forgot to delete system 32, blocks the files from running. naw but i kids, dont do that. ive dun wut u said and all that hunkidy junkidy. but still wont worx. please use ur nonlifting self and fix plox.
